Happy Diwali 2017: How to celebrate Deepawali, the festival of lights? Not only do Indians revel in the national festival regardless of faith, people all across the globe love to get into the groove of Diwali. We have prepared a guide to have a good time this Diwali in these simple steps. With a pot of shining luck and a bag full of happiness, Diwali brings a ray of hope for people to be blessed with good health, wealth and prosperity. Also known as Deepawali, the festival gets its name from a row of lights — as “deep” means “light” or “lamp”, and “avali” means “row”. One of India’s biggest and most important holiday season, it not only symbolises the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness, but also marks the triumph of good over evil. To celebrate the festivities, Hindus begin their preparations at least a month in advance. From cleaning and decorating homes to shopping for new clothes and jewellery, and preparing mouth-watering sweet tweets, the five-day festival is all

The festival celebrates him the God of good beginnings, prosperity and obstacle remover. It is observed throughout India, especially as a public event in the states of India such as Maharashtra,Telangana,Gujarat and Chhattisgarh,[1][5] usually as a private home festival in other states such Goa,Karnataka,Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.[6] At public venues, along with the reading of texts and group feasting, athletic and martial arts competitions are held.[7] It is unclear when the festival started, it may have South Indian origins, but historical evidence suggests it became a major social and public event with sponsorship of Shivaji after Muslim-Hindu (Mughal-Maratha) wars, and again in the 19th century after public appeal by Indian freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak,[8] who championed it as a means to circumvent the colonial British government ban on Hindu gatherings through its anti-public assembly legislation in 1892.[9][10][6] Ganesha Chaturthi is also observed in Nepal and by the Hindu diaspora elsewhere such as in the Trinidad, Suriname, Fiji, Mauritius,[11] United States and Europe[4][12] (such as in Tenerife, Spain).[13][14] In recent years lot of educated Indians brought awareness among the people to install ECO friendly Idols of lord Ganesha for the protection of environment.

But their teachings didn’t satisfy him and he set out to find his own path. Six years later he went to Bodgaya near the Neranjana River and sat under a tree. Siddhartha's mind was calm and relaxed. As he sat his concentration deepened and his wisdom grew brighter. In this clear and peaceful state of mind he began to examine the true nature of life. Labours day

Image
Labour Day (Labor Day in the United States) is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. For most countries, Labour Day is synonymous with, or linked with, International Workers' Day, which occurs on 1 May. For other countries, Labour Day is celebrated on a different date, often one with special significance for the labour movement in that country. In Canada and the United States, Labour Day is celebrated on the first Monday of September and considered the unofficial end of summer, with summer vacations ending and students returning to school around then.

Bhagat Singh is rightly considered to be the most influential revolutionary during the Independence movement for India. When we think of all the martyrs who gave away their life for the pride and honor of their motherland, we often remember “Shaheed” Bhagat Singh. From seeking revenge on Lala Lajpat Rai’s death and 1929 assembly bomb throwing incident to the 116 days fast in jail, Singh was not a believer in Gandhian ideology of Satyagraha and non-violence. At the age of 23 Singh was sentenced to death along with Rajguru and Sukhdev while all three of them kissed the rope, put it around their neck themselves and died for the sake of Bharat Mata. Singh’s death proved to be an awakening for the youth of the nation which got committed to make India the Independent India.
