ఒకతను వున్నంతలో భార్యా పిల్లలతో ఆనందంగా బతుకుతుంటాడు..ఒకరోజు అతడు బజార్లో నడుస్తూ వుంటే ఒక నాణెం దొరుకుతుంది..మకిలి పట్టి మధ్యలో చిల్లు వున్న రాగి నాణెం..అది...!!అతడు దాన్ని రుద్ది చూస్తాడు..ఆశ్చర్యం..!! ఇంకో రాగి నాణెం వస్తుంది..మళ్ళీ రుద్దుతాడు..మరోటి వస్తుంది.. మళ్ళీ రుద్దితే మళ్ళీ ఒకటి..!! అప్పుడు ఆకాశవాణి వినిపిస్తుంది.. ఓ మనిషీ..! ఇది మాయానాణెం..దీన్ని ఎన్నిసార్లు రుద్దితే అన్ని నాణేలు ఇస్తుందీ.. అయితే మధ్యలో ఒక్కసారి ఆపినా ఆమాయ పోతుందీ...!! అని చెప్తుంది.. అంతే ఆ మనిషి తన ఇంటిలో వున్న నేలమాళిగలోకి వెళ్ళి నాణేన్నిరుద్దటం మొదలు పెడతాడు.. తనను తాను మర్చిపోతాడు.. కుటుంబాన్ని మర్చిపోతాడు.. పిల్లల్ని మర్చిపోతాడు.. ప్రపంచాన్ని మర్చిపోతాడు. .అలా రుద్దుతునే వుంటాడు.. గుట్టలుగా సంపదను పోగెస్తునే వుంటాడు..!! ఒకరోజు అతడికి ఇక చాలనిపిస్తుంది..రాగినాణేన్ని పక్కన పడేసి..బయటికి వస్తాడు..అతడిని ఎవ్వరూ గుర్తు పట్టరు..పిల్లలకు పిల్లలు పుట్టి వుంటారు.. కొత్త భవనాలు వెలసి వుంటాయి.. కొత్త సంగీతాలు వినిపిస్తుంటాయి.. స్నేహితులు.. చుట్టాలు.. పుస్తకాలు.. ప్రేమ,పెళ్ళి... జీవితం ప్రసాదించిన అన్ని సం...
